Two other pol III-transcribed loci that attract ERα in breast cancer cells are the RMRP gene, which has been implicated by recurrent mutation as an oncogenic driver (Rheinbay et al., 2020, Rheinbay et al., 2017), and the RN7SL1 gene, which has been shown to promote inflammation and progression of breast tumours (Nabet et al., 2017). Here, RN7SL1 is linked to breast cancer.
