The obtained results indicate that the effect of QZF in Sjögren's syndrome rats may be related to PI3K/Akt/HIF-1α/VEGF signaling pathways for the hydroxychloroquine and QZF can inhibit not only the PI3K, AKT, HIF-1α, and VEGF protein expression but also the phosphorylated PI3K and AKT protein P-PI3K and p-AKT. Here, AKT1 is linked to Sjogren syndrome.
