LAMP1 and Alzheimer disease: Age-associated changes in PNNs were investigated in hippocampal and cortical regions of 3xTg-AD and wildtype mice at each timepoint using the lectin Wisteria floribunda agglutinin (WFA), as well as parvalbumin (PV) which stains parvalbumin+ (PV+) interneurons, LAMP1 – a marker of dystrophic neurites, and Amylo-Glo for dense core plaques (Figures 8A,B).
