In contrast to other proposed models of tumor control which appear to be entirely driven by the induction of central trained immunity in the BM21, instead, in this model the early trafficking of WGP to the pancreas and the resulting production of CCL2 in the pancreas recruits trained CCR2+ myeloid cells from the periphery which are mainly responsible for the anti-tumor effects. The gene discussed is CCL2; the disease is neoplasm.
