Knowing the interactions of the M protein, as well as knowing its 3D structure, or even having a good 3D model thereof, would allow making a deep analysis of the intracellular processes this protein carries out, which would in turn allow the design of drugs and other alternatives that could stop the M protein from performing its functions as a method for controlling infections caused by PEDV and other coronaviruses.
