G0S2 and renal fibrosis: In the present study, for the first time, we demonstrated that MBD2 directly resulted in the increased expression of G0S2 to induce renal fibrosis and transition of M0 macrophages into M1 or M2 macrophages and M2 macrophages into M1 macrophages via suppression of the methylation levels of their promoters, respectively (Supplementary Fig. 7).
