CTCFL and cancer: Our results showed that the transcription of the ‘modulator brother of regulator of imprinted sites’ (BORIS), also known as CCCTC binding factor-like (CTCFL), was upregulated in the high-methylation group of four types of cancers (3.6-fold change for HNSC, 2.4 for LUAD, 3.1 for LUSC and 4.4 for SARC).
