In adult acute myeloid leukaemia, MMRN1 was identified alongside 16 other genes (AKR1C3, ARHGAP22, CD34, CDK6, CPXM1, EMP1, GPR56, KIAA0125, LAPTM4B, NGFRAP1, NYNRIN, SMIM24, SOCS2, DNMT3B, DPYSL3, ZBTB46), significantly correlated to leukaemia stemness and chemoresistance [102]. This evidence concerns the gene MMRN1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
