MMP9 and in situ carcinoma: The data correspond well withthe results of previous studies.62−64 In a study, it was reportedthat CIS-encapsulated liposomes induced apoptosis, activated Caspase9 and Caspase3, downregulated Bcl2, and upregulated Bax.(65) In another study, it was shown that the EPI injection wasindirectly linked with a lower expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 genes; consequently, the adhesion, migration,and invasion properties of urothelial carcinoma cells had also beendecreased.66
