We found that the levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT; Figure 1C), aspartate aminotransferase (AST; Figure 1D), uric acid (urate; Figure 1E), and gamma‐glutamyl transferase (GGT; Figure 1F) were significantly higher in subjects with severe and moderate steatosis but not mild steatosis, compared with no steatosis. The gene discussed is GPT; the disease is steatosis.
