As observed, the gene function analyses of DMMSs showed that the hyper- and hypomethylated genes in the tumor group were significantly enriched in many phylogenetic processes, such as multicellular organismal development and kidney development, and they were also involved in the cancer pathways, such as the transcriptional misregulation in cancer and TGF-β signaling pathway, which supported the importance of m6A in tumorigenesis. Here, TGFB1 is linked to cancer.
