Higher LOX mRNA expression was detected in GC tissues than that in adjacent normal gastric tissues, and was significantly correlated with the invasion depth, tumor differentiation, lymph node metastasis, lymphatic invasion, venous invasion, and peritoneal metastasis in GC patients, predicting a poor prognosis of GC patients with high expression of LOX (Zhang et al., 2013). This evidence concerns the gene LOX and gastric cancer.
