Verticinone dramatically suppressed pulmonary fibrosis of bleomycin-induced rat model through down-regulating IFN-γ levels in serum and TGF-β, NF-κB, CTGF, ERK1/2, and FasL in pulmonary tissue markedly, which were comparable to dexamethasone. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and pulmonary fibrosis.
