One of the top networks of the functional analysis involved five of the proteins with the biggest fold change, namely branched-chain alpha-keto acid dehydrogenase E1 component beta (BCKDHB), EEF1A2, MEPCE, prothymosin alpha (PTMA), and SENP3, and the diseases and disorders of cancer, organismal injury and abnormalities, and gastrointestinal disease (Figure 2E). This evidence concerns the gene EEF1A2 and gastrointestinal disease.
