Studies in mouse models of β-amyloidosis and post mortem brain material of AD patients showed that while micro-hemorrhages were contributing to unspecific T cell extravasation, specific T cell infiltration into the brain parenchyma was mostly associated with β-amyloidosis and tau pathology (Ferretti et al., 2016; Laurent et al., 2017; Merlini et al., 2018). The gene discussed is MAPT; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
