BRCA1 and neoplasm: While in non-BRCA1-like patients adjuvant capecitabine-containing chemotherapy was significantly more effective than conventional chemotherapy (RFS: HR 0.23; 95% CI 0.08–0.70; P < 0.01), this was not observed in patients with a BRCA1-like tumour (RFS: HR 0.66; 95% CI 0.24–1.81; P = 0.42).
