Moreover, with reference to the complex molecular mechanisms of skeletal muscle homeostasis, atrophy, and aging that give rise to sarcopenia [12, 13], several other hub genes of interest such as tumor suppressor protein 53 (TP53) gene, insulin growth factor 1 (IGF-1) gene, and interleukin-6 (IL-6) gene are proposed for better understanding of the pathogenesis of sarcopenia [14].
