Increased levels of granulin A were detected in microglia after stroke (Fig. 3b, d), and granulin-A signals overlapped with signals detected by the commercial anti-PGRN antibodies and anti-LAMP1 antibodies (Fig. 3c), indicating increased levels of lysosomal granulin-A upon microglial activation in response to stroke.
