The polymorphisms N363S and Bcl1 have been associated with a decreased risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis (i.e., are high-sensitivity GR gene single-nucleotide polymorphisms [SNPs] that protect against the autoimmune disease), and the polymorphisms ER22/23EK and 9β are associated with an increased risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis [11]. This evidence concerns the gene CCND1 and rheumatoid arthritis.
