GPT and Insulin resistance: Biochemical analyses revealed that both GS and AML could abate the elevated triglyceride, cholesterol, alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase triggered by HFD, while IPGTT and ITT displayed that they could also provide protective effects against glucose tolerance and insulin resistance, suggesting substantial improvement in metabolic abnormalities (Figures 2D–H and Supplementary Figure S2).
