DHM promoted autophagy and improved renal interstitial fibrosis in diabetic nephropathy (DN) by regulating the miR-155-5p/phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten (PTEN) signaling pathway and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT)/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway (Guo et al., 2020a). Here, MTOR is linked to diabetic kidney disease.
