ALB and Alzheimer disease: Among significantly different median lab values in both UCSF and Mount Sinai, patients with AD have higher levels of hematocrit, serum calcium, RBC count, serum albumin, and cholesterol and lower levels of glucose, activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT), alanine transaminase (ALT), and aspartate transaminase (AST) compared to controls (two-sided Mann–Whitney U-test, Bonferroni-corrected p-value threshold of 0.05, Fig. 6d, Supplementary Fig. 4A).
