In lung tumors, PFDN1 contributes to growth and metastasis by suppressing the transcription of cyclin A. PFDN1 directly interacts with the cyclin A promoter at the transcription initiation site and inhibits cyclin A expression, which eventually activates the EMT and facilitates the migration of lung cancer cells (Wang et al., 2017). Here, PFDN1 is linked to lung carcinoma.
