As demonstrated in RT-PCR and Western blot, the expression levels of LCN2 in acute colitis, chronic colitis, and CAC were all higher than those of normal (P < 0.001), acute colitis was higher than that of the chronic colitis (P ≤ 0.01), and chronic colitis was higher than that of CAC (P < 0.05) (Figure 5D).
