AKT/mTOR [48] and AR signaling pathways [49] are aberrantly activated in prostate cancer, where the mechanism between the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway and several key oncogenic signaling cascades, such as AR, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and Wnt signaling cascades [50], underlying PCa growth and drug resistance has been previously discussed [51]. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and posterior cortical atrophy.
