Wallmann et al. (2018), showed that PDGFRB expression can stimulate the migratory capacity of glioma cells. In addition, a high expression level of PDGFRB in tumor stroma is closely related to large tumor size, advanced stage, high Gleason score, and high vessel density. Furthermore, high PDGFRB expression in the stroma of tumor and non-malignant tissue is in association with the short cancer-specific survival in prostate cancer patients (Hägglöf et al., 2010). This evidence concerns the gene PDGFRB and prostate carcinoma.
