As shown in Table 1, although the basal testosterone (T) levels were stable across the two groups, a higher BMI (25.43 ± 3.37 vs 23.80 ± 2.98, P<0.001), higher LH/FSH ratio (1.23 ± 1.01 vs 0.67 ± 0.39, P<0.001), and longer duration of infertility (5.36 ± 3.88 vs 4.30 ± 3.88, P=0.001) were observed in the PCOS group than in the tubal factor group. This evidence concerns the gene PLOD1 and polycystic ovary syndrome.
