Definitive association of an antineuronal antibody response in paraneoplastic neurological disease began with a report by Greenlee and Brashear in 1983; they identified the antibody now known as “anti-Yo” (“PCA1”) in patients with cerebellar degeneration in the setting of ovarian cancer (14) and with subsequent confirmatory work by Jaeckle et al. in 1985 (15). Here, CDR2 is linked to nervous system disorder.
