Comparisons of healthy diabetics and diabetics with CAD (both ACS and CCAD) revealed a significant reduction in EG-VEGF (p = 0.022), LAP (TGF-b1) (p = 0.007), Leptin (p = 0.04), PD-ECGF (p = 0.038), Serpin F1 (p = 0.038) and TIMP-4 (p = 0.02), in all CAD patients while TIMP-1 was significantly increased in this group (p = 0.023) (Fig. 5C).
