EGFR and breast adenocarcinoma: A study conducted on a xenograft model, where MDA-MB-468 (breast adenocarcinoma) cells were injected into female Balb/c-nude mice, showed that EGFR phosphorylation in MDA-MB-468 cells is inhibited after treatment with silibinin, a PDIA2 ligand [54]; it is possible that this event is related to the role of ERp57/PDIA3 in EGFR signaling and internalization, as evidenced by silencing of ERp57/PDIA3 in MDA-MB-468 cells [55].
