TMPRSS2 and Familial prostate cancer: A second‐generation antiandrogen agent, enzalutamide was demonstrated to reduce the expression of TMPRSS2 that mediated SARS‐CoV‐2‐driven entry in prostate cancer cells.[134] However, studies on both human lung organoids and lung cancer cells showed that enzalutamide failed to prevent SARS‐CoV‐2 infection due to the androgen receptor‐independent TMPRSS2 expression in lung epithelium.
