Further analysis of the relationship between the expression of mRNA in different NEKs and the prognosis of NSCLC patients showed that the mRNA expression level of high NEK2 (HR = 1.92, 95% CI 1.67–2.21, P = 1E–16) and NEK3 (HR = 1.17, 95% CI 1.01–1.34) was associated with poor prognosis. This evidence concerns the gene NEK3 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
