Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis showed that the downregulated genes in the TE were mainly involved in cell cycle and p53 signaling pathway (Fig. 1G), while upregulated genes were enriched in immune inflammation and metabolic disorders, including arachidonic acid metabolism, cell adhesion molecules (CAMs), chemokine signaling pathway, and cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction (Fig. 1H). Here, TP53 is linked to metabolic disease.
