Two ACO signals have previously been reported separately for both asthma and lung function or COPD: rs9273410 in HLA-DQB1 (EAF, 0.445; OR, 1.20; P = 9.19 × 10–28) and rs3749833 in C5orf56 (EAF, 0.263; OR, 1.12; P = 9.37 × 10–12). This evidence concerns the gene CARINH and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
