CHEK2 and thyroid cancer: The frequency of thyroid cancer in CHEK2 mutation carriers (excluding I157T) was 3,7% compared to 2,1% in the group of 31,080 non-carriers, which implicates a significantly higher odds ratio (OR) for developing thyroid cancer when a CHEK2 mutation is present (OR 1,77; 95% CI [1,15 – 2,62]; p = 0,01).
