ACE2‐expressing DCs were infected by SARS‐CoV‐2 and both infection and IFN‐β production was blocked by antibodies against ACE2, but not by antibodies against TLR4 (Fig. 5H and I), suggesting that endosomal TLR4 triggering is not involved in the observed SARS‐CoV‐2‐induced immune activation. This evidence concerns the gene IFNB1 and infection.
