This study found elevated levels of IGF2 (an insulin-like growth factor) and LYVE1 (a cell surface receptor on lymphatic endothelial cells), and lower THBS1 levels (a regulator of angiogenesis), to all be independent predictors of a favourable outcome 3 months after suffering from AIS due to LVO (74). The gene discussed is IGF2; the disease is androgen insensitivity syndrome.
