TRPA1 and Dry skin: Intriguingly, TRPA1 activation also played a critical role in multiple chronic itch conditions, including dry skin-induced chronic itch (Wilson et al., 2013), bile acids receptor TGR5-mediated cholestatic itch (Lieu et al., 2014), low-dose formalin-induced itch (Liu et al., 2021), methylglyoxal (MGO)-mediated diabetic itch (Cheng et al., 2019), tacrolimus-induced contact dermatitis pruritus (Wong et al., 2018), and imiquimod-induced psoriatic itch (Liu et al., 2010).
