However, our study also found that ccRCC patients with a decreased expression of miR-204-5P and low expression of miR-204-5P had significantly shorter survival times than those with a high expression of miR-204-5P, which was also negatively correlated with ADAM12 expression with a high correlation coefficient, indicating that miR-204-5P may target ADAM12 in ccRCC mRNA, thereby inducing its degradation. Here, ADAM12 is linked to nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
