RASA3 and atherosclerosis: It has been suggested that deletion or knockdown of Rasa3 is associated with hyperactivation of the small GTPase Rap1 and, therefore, F‐actin polymerization.[56] Increased expression of this gene in our study is suggestive of lower cytoskeleton polymerization and therefore decreased immune cell infiltration into vascular wall, which contributes in prevention of atherosclerosis and vascular dysfunctions.
