Studies have found that HOTAIR can “sponge” miR-206/miR-613 in liver cancer cells, thus destroying the binding site of miR-206/miR-613 and OATP1B1 mRNA 3’-UTR, affecting the binding of miR-206/miR-613 and OATP1B1 mRNA 3′-UTR, and then eliminating the stimulation of LncRNA HOTAIR on OATP1B1 protein. The gene discussed is SLCO1B1; the disease is liver cancer.
