KEGG pathway analysis35 showed enrichment for several pathways involved in infectious diseases (e.g. HTLV‐1 infection, tuberculosis), several immune‐related pathways (cytokine‐cytokine receptor interaction, B‐cell receptor signalling pathway), but also cancer‐related processes (transcriptional misregulation in cancer, JAK‐STAT and, NF‐kappa B signalling) for the up‐regulated genes from framework “A” (Figure 2G). This evidence concerns the gene SOAT1 and tuberculosis.
