In studies of epilepsy and migraine, quinine was found to be able to alleviate cognitive impairments and headache through down‐regulation of Cx36, which was consistent with our findings that quinine could alleviate depressive‐like behaviors induced by CUMS (Gajda et al., 2005; Nassiri‐Asl et al., 2008; Sarrouilhe et al., 2014).
