Previous studies have shown that specific gene mutations are associated with higher platinum drug sensitivity in many cancers, such as CCDC69 mutation in ovarian cancer, ERCC2 mutation in bladder cancer, and BRCA mutation in pancreatic cancer (Lohse et al., 2015; Cui et al., 2019; Li Q. et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene CCDC69 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
