First, we used the WES data to investigate variants affecting 10 genes previously associated with melanoma predisposition (CDKN2A, CDK4, BAP1, POT1, TERT, ACD, TERF2IP, POLE, MITF, and MC1R), and classified them according to the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics guidelines [18]. The gene discussed is TERF2IP; the disease is melanoma.
