As expected, significant changes were observed in weight ( −19.1 lbs from 256.8 lbs, p < 0.0001), HbA1c ( −1.1% from 7.6%, p < 0.0001), lab BHB (+ 0.4 from 0.2 mM, p < 0.0001), insulin dose ( −58.7 from 91.2 units per day, p < 0.0001), number of diabetes-specific medications prescribed ( −0.5 from 1.7, p < 0.0001), and white blood cells (+ 0.50 from 7.3 k/cumm, p < 0.0001).
