These findings led us to investigate the impact of TLR2/4 activation, with lipoteichoic acid (LTA) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) respectively, on gene expression in monocytes from children with autistic disorder (AD) and pervasive development disorder—not otherwise specified (PDDNOS) compared to typically developing children (TD).
