Pritchard et al. (3) examined a panel of 20 DDR genes in men predominately of European ancestry and demonstrated that 11.8% of men with metastatic prostate cancer carried a DDR gene alteration, whereas the corresponding frequency was only 4.6% among men with localized prostate cancer and 2.7% among men without a diagnosis of prostate cancer. This evidence concerns the gene DDR1 and metastatic prostate carcinoma.
