Dual-luciferase assays were conducted to reveal that the luciferase signals had a negative correlation with the expression level of KLF5 in the wild-type group, whereas this was not observed change in the mutant-type group (Fig. 7e), which indicated that KLF5 could inactivate the transcription of BECN1 to inhibit the process of autophagy in BC.
