In the study conducted by Hosseinzadeh et al.[24], it was reported that CD144+endothelial microparticles were found to be higher in patients with vascular riskfactors (hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, stroke, CAD, and smoking) than inthose with normal cognitive function, without vascular risk factors. The gene discussed is CDH5; the disease is hyperlipidemia.
